Who can participate in an animathon?

No previous experience is necessary to participate.

The animathon workshop can be held in: fairs, festivals, schools and institutions. The workshop makes animated cinema available to everyone who wants to participate in a game, produce a film, and see the results quickly. These films are based on music, which is a universal language; they address a vast international public, unhampered by language barriers.

We can custom maid anything for your business, your school or your family.

This is a sample of what we do.

Fairs, festivals, etc.
The general public is invited to produce cartoons whenever they attend one of our activities. Be it for a public awareness campaign, a publicity campaign or a cultural event, the Animathon Mobile Studio sets up outside in a public area and introduces all comers to the basic principles of animated films.

Participants are invited to create a short animated film segment, bearing in mind the rules of the animathon game.

Similar events have taken place in Hamilton, Ottawa, Annecy (during international animated film festivals) and in Montreal during the 1996 Centraide campaign.

Schools
The usual animathon "clientele" is composed of students from all levels: primary school, secondary school, college or university.

In the Company or at Work
Our cartoon-production workshops are very successful in getting members of a company involved. They create a favourable atmosphere for exchanging views on specific problems. Animathon is a highly successful tool for improving communication strategies, as well as for rallying individuals around common objectives. We are convinced that the playful and stimulating character of animathon is a drawing card that encourages sharing of all kinds and helps prepare the participants to deal with important decisions.

Animathon Summer School or Camp

Animathon © Fund Raiser
Organize a fund raiser for one of your pet projects by holding a cartoon animathon.

All you have to do is set the goal of producing cartoon films and attract the public by asking supporters to bid for each drawing or second of film to be produced. A profit can also be made by selling the video cassette of the production.

The price of each drawing and each second can be adjusted in accordance with the total amount to be raised.

A cartoon animathon is an original and creative way of raising funds for a collective project.
